Can I use the builder without an account?
Yes. You can create or improve a skill, review it and download it before creating an account. Saving it in Contexta requires a free workspace.
Can I improve a skill I already have?
Yes. Paste the instructions or upload a supported text or Markdown file. Tell the builder what you want to change, then review the revised version and a summary of the changes.
What will I download?
A Markdown skill file containing the instructions you reviewed. Installation and packaging requirements depend on the AI product you use. A download does not create a Contexta connection or install anything for you.
Can I use it to create a Claude skill?
You can use the builder to draft skill instructions for Claude and review a Markdown download. Follow the current installation requirements for the Claude product you use, or connect it to Contexta to use managed skills.
What makes the builder different from asking an AI to write a prompt?
It follows Contexta’s skill-design approach: the job, when to use the skill, required inputs, steps, output and checks. It also helps you refine the instructions before downloading them. Review and test the result with your own work.
Do I need to connect my own AI to use the builder?
No. Generation runs through the website builder. You connect your own supported AI when you want to use skills through your Contexta workspace.
